 When she won the title Miss Universe in 1994 she become popular and used her fame in film industry as a actress, she got offered for first film in Dastak in 1996.

Then she acted in few Tamil Films like Ratchagan then she appeared in Biwi No. 1 with starring Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Tabu and Karishma Kapoor which directed by Varun Dhawan in 1999.

In 2004, She played role in big hit movie Main Hoon Na along with star Shah Rukh Khan, Sunnil Shetty and Amrita Rao which directed by Farah Khan

Sushmita played lead role with star Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in remake film Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya in 2005.

 Sushmita Sen was born in Hyderabad, India on 19 November 1975 in Bengali Brahmin family she completed her schooling from Air Force Silver School, Dlehi.

In the age of childhood her lifestyle was different then a normal girl, she preferred to spend her time with boys and her English was  not fluent till her teenage age later she become expert in English language.

In 1994, she participated in Femina Miss India contest and won the contest she got chance to compete the higher level competition like Miss Universe.

Then she was appeared as a Miss Universe in 1994 and she become the first women of India who received the title of Miss Universe.

Sen wears the gown during Miss Universe competition which made by her mother along with the Meena Bazaar&rsquos tailor.

She adopted two girls Renee in 2000 and Alisah in 2010 as daughters so both of the girls become the family member of Sushmita.
